Push button start is extremely convenient. It removes several steps and hassles we always just took for granted. I’m an old work truck guy and, if I have the ability, I’ll never own another vehicle without it. It’s that great.

Having to drive from work site to work site. It's pretty nice to not have to take my keys out to unlock the door or start the car, especially if I'm carrying boxes and a tool bag.

I'm an old school, old fart and I doubt I'll ever like push button start. The old lady's Escape has PBS and I don't care for it. If I have to carry the fob around with me anyway I'd rather just pull the key out of my pocket and put it in the ignition.

I am 28 and don't care for it. My Lariat has it and I hate keeping the giant fob in my pocket. If I take it out, I might as well be putting it in the ignition instead of throwing it in the console or cupholder where it will rattle around.

Be nice if they could incorporate what tesla has with the phone key or key card.

With a little Forscan changes, you can make it so it cannot be shifted out of park unless the fob is inside the truck. You can leave it running while outside with the key, and not worry about someone trying to steal it since they can't get it out of park. If you get carjacked, they wont be able to go anywhere as long as the key is in your pocket. Will be a very bad day for them if you are CCW.

So where did we hear about Cylinder Deactivation on the 5.0L? Was it the reveal event, because I can't find it in writing anywhere

It was reported by various reputable outlets, but oddly seems to be missing from any official Ford literature.

Yeah, either phone or card would be ideal. I tend to keep those in my pockets when I'm driving. Those plus my keys are just too much, and it used to be no problem because I put them in the ignition anyway.

It's mostly a habit change, but so far I haven't thought "this is nice/better" a single time since having the keyless start.
