Default Disasbling Auto start/stop

I have a 2022 F150 with 2.7L engine..There seems to be several ways to disable auto s/s..One plugs in behind glove box, One plugs in under dash center tray and one plugs in the OBD-ll plug..Looking for advice on which one to get if any and which to avoid and best link for ordering....Thanks

What's wrong with just pushing the button on the dash to disable it?

Nothing I guess for those who remember..However, at this time I can't even do that as I also have a black screen which I guess is related to the auto s/s.
Have you ever forgotten to turn yours off?.

A good reminder is hearing it from the car next to you in traffic. Think how much they're going to waste in starters and batteries.

I got lucky and got the "pandemic" delete, anther possibility is a trailer light tester. No first hand experience but they say if you have a trailer attached it shuts off the stop start, and the truck thinks there is a trailer account the lamp tester in the 7 way plug.

Forscan is probably the cheapest option but I have also used the Auto Start Stop Eliminator that plugs inline with the switch in the past and it works great as well. I have seen the ones that plug into your OBD port but haven't used one.

I would probably purchase the one that goes behind the glove box. I was thinking of purchase that but I was also interested in disabling the speed restriction on the sync 4 screen but you must take apart the front molding on the dash among other things. So I didn't purchase it and also didn't purchase the start/stop eliminator. I emailed 4D Tech to see if the start/stop will maintain it's setting when the truck shuts off and it does.

I have a 2021 and the disable s/s is an actual button on the dash...not on the screen. Not trying to be a smart ***, is the 2022 different and you dont have that button?

As is mine. I was referring to when the truck is moving you can not type in an address on your sync 4 screen. There are devices that will allow this while moving. My start/stop button is above the sync 4 screen as yours.

Again, get the start/stop eliminator for behind the glove box. It's the easiest install. And you don't have to remember to remove it from the OBD-ll port when in for service.
