Default Epitome of efficiency

2023 5.0 / 3.73 / E40 fuel / OZ tuned 5w-40. With CD on. Averaging between 55 - 70 MPH.

First pic is strictly highways. Second is the return trip with 15 - 20% city. No mountains, no tailwind, metro Atlanta highway and hot temps. Pretty incredible. Best mileage to date.

Impressive. My 2023 5.0 3:73 super gets a solid 18 average no matter what. My commute is 62 miles each way, generally highway with occasional traffic but mostly cruising.

I will say I get my foot into it though, not leaning forward in the cab going for the coasting record…

Nice. My 18 always settles around 18.3.

I mean, neat yeah, but 53 miles is hardly a test.

101 miles and over 2 hours is plenty… believe me, I’m not going down a mountain for two hours in the metro Atlanta area.

Get the 5.0 in that 45-55 mph cruise speed on the highway, nice and level, that 4 cylinder mode kicks in and mpg is insanely good.

I personally find MPG drops below 55 MPH. Also, in the metro area people will run you over if you drive that slow in the highway. 60 - 65 seems to be the sweet spot in my testing. With the 3.73 rear 60 MPH is about 1300 rpms.

To anyone who thinks these 5.0L power bricks are ACTUALLY getting 27 to 31 MPG: I have some oceanfront property on Montana for sale.

Eh, I don't believe it. No offense. Show us the range.

Hand calculations are within 1 MPG of the dash. I also don't have the "normal" 5.0
