I have a deposit down for the Lightning. I currently have a 2020 Explorer, but occasionally I will need a truck. The specs on the truck look great to me, my daily commute is about 80 miles RT so it should be good for 2 days. I own a home, so charging overnight is not a problem.
I think it's great that the mainstream manufacturers are getting in to EVs. Yes, the process to mine lithium is terrible. I don't know if anyone has ever looked in to the data versus the production of a ICE vehicle to see how to two actually compare. I would be very interested to see that.

Just spent 26 hrs without power due to storm, couldn't go to work because I had no power to recharge our Focus Electric....electric vehicles are all fine and dandy until you have no electricity or need to hang out 2-6hrs at a recharging station. Plus I've been waiting exactly 6 full months today for a 2021 F150 Lariat with no Vin or build date so heck no I'm not going anywhere near ordering another F150.

Does anyone know Blue Cruise Autopilot will be available on the lower-priced models? I think I could get by with a very low trim level but really want at least lane keep / adaptive cruise. I have adaptive cruise now and don't think I would buy another car/truck without it. Too much traffic where I live

Back to the Lightning.
Ford announced this today, regarding the MME. A true example of under promise and over deliver.
Can we hope to get similar from the Lightning?

EDIT: See posts 1112 & 1125 above regarding civility/ignore option, inflammatory/political type posts and generally stirring-the-pot.

Ford Truck Lover
I saw that. Good for Ford for not overstating the target range.

Regarding pickups, I'd like to see so figures regarding Range, with a load in the bed, and Range while towing various weights, as it is still a truck, and should be doing what trucks do, work.
