Let's face it, you have to start sometime. Especially with this coming up.

Just for laughs, you have got to love the quotes from some posters on this thread.

Like post #2- "If you're implying that there is a plug-in electric F150 on the horizon, don't hold your breath."

And #14- "Ask this question in 5 years when it might be close to 5 years from hitting the market."

And #16- "I don't anticipate them being viable for another 10 years or so."

And #23- "I hope it happens. I really do. And it will ... eventually." Tune in May 9th, to find out when "eventually" will actually be, LOL. It will be soon.

And many more.

Yes Indeed. also looking like ford may be using the solid state battery, which is not toxic nor does it have the issues of weight , charging temps or discharge issues..Graphee is more than likely a decade away.. Ford with BMW are using the industrial process of the Lithium manufacturing to make their solid state battery..Smart..The next hurdle is getting the Juice from non hydrocarbon sources.. Just because your electric does not in any way make you a clean off the hydrocarbon wheel....yet

Just like Mustang Mach Electric. Have to ruin the "Lightning" name. This time is might actually work, MAYBE THE CHIP shortage wont hurt an ALL-ELECTRIC Truck
need to beat the Cybertruck to the showrooms.

I am curious to see how long it would take to fully charge the F 150 Electric Truck and about how much it would cost electricity wise to charge the vehicle if the battery was almost fully discharged. Some estimates from other electric trucks claim 45 minute to one hour charging at a cost of $15.75.. If the truck is able to run 300 miles and your average fuel burn is 15 miles per gallon then that equates to 20 gallons x an average of $2.60 gallon and rising = $52.00..Can anyone chime in on those figures or am I missing something ? Also heard the base price on the Electric Ford 150 is $75,000 . Does anyone know if that's true or speculation ?

^ Hope you are incorrect on the $75K base, that seems a little steeeep. Would suspect $55-60K range Base. Needs to be in the range of 400+ miles, Seems like everything huddles around 225-325 range. That just doesn't cut it for me. would be pretty awesome if its self driving too ( would not have to hit the fuel station, or oil changes or drive HAHA )

I cant imagine a "Lightning" being sub Lariat ... so ~62 base
I just spent 3 weeks in TX and didnt see a single 4x2 truck ... Plenty of 4x4 f350 with dubs and 6" lift ...
Add options same as mid Platinum ...
Was deciding between 701A Platinum and Loaded Lariat same ~ price
67k out the door ... Lariat was 69k Chose the Platinum
Ford may still have some Federal EV/Hybrid incentives left?
I don't count the base order people ...
I would have ordered a base Limited if it came in 6.5 bed...
