As Mr Musk states the ,,,Limiting Factor,,, Batterys and mass storage issues ,, electric systems can not work without massive tax credits..These statements will upset some , but hey they are facts..
I personally would love to go electric . but not until it is efficient and non toxic batterys. will not be kidding my self on the source of the electric grid power { mostly coal } or the amount of hydrocarbons that it take to make batterys solar cells ect,,

Thanks for explaining. what about this?
the other States, even worse.
You know you have problems when you have to sell your vehicles for $20,000 off list.

Running on Empty: There's a Lot to Like about Hydrogen, If You Can Find It
Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, but in California it can be maddeningly hard to find when you need it to fuel vehicles like the Toyota Mirai. From the May 2021 issue of Car and Driver.
Still, even in California, hydrogen's future is murky. In 2015, when Toyota debuted the Mirai hydrogen-fuel-cell-powered sedan in the United States, the automaker took to calling customers trailblazers. The trouble with blazing a trail, however, is that you don't always know what you're getting into. Deals and incentives abound, but if you're driving any of the 9000-plus fuel-cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) that call California home, you better be good with logistics. In a state that covers more than 163,000 square miles, there are currently only 45 hydrogen stations, and they don't always have enough fuel for everyone who needs it.

Does anyone know what the state/federal rebates will be?
State tax credits and rebates vary by State.
You might check out the Mustang Mach E Forum, they have been discussing credits and rebates for quite a while. Maybe check the Regional sub-forums.

where to start.. The grid has not been expanded in decades, over worked to say the least, power distribution is the least of it issues,,also the growth was done mostly from Hydrocarbons and since 2010 many Green states have closed their Nuclear Plants and Hydro plants. Not to mention where are you going to get all the Silver to make the batterys,, Its a pipe dream folks..

Well said.
Just like a 3.3L V-6 is not for everyone.
Just like a 2.7 L V-6 is not for everyone.
Just like a 5.0L V-8 is not for everyone.
Just like a 3.5L V-6 is not for everyone.
Just like a 3.0L Powerstroke is not for everyone.
Just like a 3.5L V-6 Powerboost is not for everyone.
Just like a Raptor is not for everyone.
Ford is simply adding one more powerplant to the stable, the Lightning. What are people so afraid of?
I would not propose that Ford stop selling its lowest volume vehicle, the Raptor, so why would anyone propose that Ford not sell a vehicle that will outsell the Raptor?
Defies common sense. If you don't like it, or can't afford it, don't buy it.

They fear that this is the beginning steps down a path towards irrational "green" mandates that will ultimately substantially increase the cost of living for the average joe whilst hindering his ability to traverse the open road as he pleases. That we will be handcuffed by "the grid" and our ability to come and go as we please will be less reliable and efficient than in years past.
A large portion of the difference in the price of electricity vs gasoline wrt driving amounts to taxes paid at the pump per gallon. It would not surprise me if the electricity used to charge electric vehicles gets a tax placed on it in the near future.
