What's weird is you would think that increasing the GVWR from 7050# --> 7850# that you would get close to 800# bump, but it doesn't look that way? These 4x4 and 4x2 supercrews look in same range as the standard XLT's...

That does look odd. Looking at the 2019s it's apparent it gives a huge bump in GVWR, payload, and GAWR.
Good posts and eye opening! Having a 7,000 lb travel trailer and wanting to install a topper and a bed slide in the bed, this is convincing me more and more to just go for an F-250 which gives me better towing and cargo capacity with the same features less a power tailgate and center console for roughly $4k less.

I’ve battled similar scenarios in my mind. However that would be in a truck based on the previous F-150 design, I’ll pass. Once the new Super Duty is revealed that will be something special to behold.

Reason: typo
True; and that may be for 2022 which is why I am waiting til around April or May to order mine. Maybe by then, I will know more about the 2022 Superduty. However, as I have seen with the 2021 F-150, the only eye opener has been the increase in price and options that force packages with uneeded options.

I don't know, if I had held out for another 1.5 years to buy I'd be rather excited about a hybrid powerboost that's factory rated at 430 horsepower and 570 lbs of torque + a 7,200 watt on board generator and more accident avoidance active assist features than you can shake a stick at
