My friends new Lariat didn't have the heated steering wheel. It was supposed to be equipped but wasn't available.

Only thing I knew about was heated steering wheel. Which I absolutely need.

There seems to be a design language with the Maverick and now the 2024 Ranger.

I am not looking forward to it carrying over to the 2024 F150:

The superduty is similar, just more roid rage-y.

Yea hopefully they don't carry over the C shape headlight design. It looks awful. Last Gen of GM sierras used to have a similar headlight design.

I don't have the window sticker in front of me, and I think I actually lost it, but my 2018 XLT window sticker (the one I bought new) and what I actually paid for it were a little over 20% different - and that was OUT THE DOOR. My current XLT had a sticker of 53 or 56k - and I paid 38 for it with 22k miles, right as used car prices went banananuts. Broke my heart to pay that much for a used truck because I knew the original owner had paid roughly what I paid for the dang thing (if he was a value shopper like me)

I am certainly willing to drive it for another 10 years if that is how long it takes for me to be able to see the value in purchasing a new vehicle without some heavy discounts. They have started discounting now, one I looked at pretty hard was a little over 10% off of sticker but I just can't. I can't see the value in it yet. At 20% it would be starting becoming a little clearer. At 25% (which was easy pre-covid on closeout model years) I would thinking hard on this one (attached image)

Only thing it's missing that I want is a 36 gallon tank, only thing it has that I don't care for is FX4. It would be my first 3.5 ECO, and I do really love my little 2.7 (have had 2 5.0's)

When I find a 2024 Lariat BAP in 2025 at 25% off sticker, I'll be pretty damn glad I waited. I saw a new one in a parking lot the other day. I hate leather, but Jaysus that was a pretty truck. I have never really wanted anything other than a loaded XLT just because I do not like leather, but my broken Grinch heart grew three sizes that day. I wanted the Precious....... but not at sticker.

Man, all you guys in the US are lucky to be getting these massive discounts already.

In Canada, we get shafted. Dealers are still selling everything at MSRP if not with Markups.

I wish we had the competition and population that US has so we could get some discounts and things become cheaper.

Myself, I have no desire to buy another new truck with the way the market is right now. As close as I can get to my 2020, item for item, a 2023 would run me close 10K more, MSRP, and have "features" built in that I just plain don't want.
The two trucks before my '20, were bought at year end off the lot, both nice trucks, but lacked things I wanted.
The '20 I put together myself, got exactly what I wanted from Ford. It was bought with the thought that this would likely be my last new truck, I'm 72 right now.
They would have to offer a better looking truck than my '20, at a fantastic price as well. I don't think the cost will be coming down during the rest of my life.
