Default Driver side wheel clunk

When I back up and turn my wheels all the way, my driver side sounds and feels a clunk. And sometimes when pulling forward. Someone suggested control arm, but I'm not mechanic to understand. Can someone explain?

Sounds like something like a bushing or strut has worn out and or loose. Year make and model?

Take it to a front end shop and let them show you. Front end repair is in your future.

Thumping in reverse with the wheels cranked all the way to one side can be normal. Some steering geometries force the tires to follow incompatible arcs, and eventually one will skip.

Sure I can get that, but this is def abnormal, and not on both sides. Also doesn't take my wheels being turned "all the way" for it per se, usually just turned or turning such as when I'm backing out of a spot and turning, or when I'm turning into a spot. Something prob needs to be changed. Truck has a lot of miles. 276k

Likely culprits:
CV Axel
Sway bar bushings
Sway bar end link bushings
Shock mounts
Steering or control arm bushings/joints

I'm thinking one of these as there aren't any CV axles in his 2WD.

Sway bar bushings
Sway bar end link bushings
Shock mounts
Steering or control arm bushings/joints
Upper ball joints
Lower ball joints

Good point missed that important detail

Try lifting the wheel off the ground with a jack under the A-arm, then rotate the tire backwards by hand?
