Default Raptor style tailgate appliqué

Received my raptor tailgate appliqué today and I noticed it is a bit “wavy” on the top and bottom edges. It is made out of ABS. Want to know if anything can be done about it or should i just opt for a return? 2018 XLT sport

Top of appliqué

Bottom of Appliqué

I'm very curious and no insult to you. Why would anyone add Raptor signage or anything Raptor to a non-Raptor?? Who are you trying to fool?

...because it's their money and that's what they wanted to do. Not to insult you but why did you feel you needed to interject with rude questions?

One, I don't see it as a rude question. It's curiosity.

I'm a proud owner of a new XLT Scab. My second since my 2004 Scab. I could buy anything I wanted including a Raptor but the XLT fit me. I don't need or want all that power this or that. I'm the only driver. Who needs power seats, power wheel adjust, power pedals (once set why change), heated/cooled seats, auto climate control, etc. I live on the California coast so no need for such crap. So much more to go wrong and it does. Read the threads. I would never think of badging it as a Lariat, a King, Platinum, Limited or especially a Raptor.

Have you ever heard of someone re-badging their car/truck and then reselling it to an unsuspecting kid buyer? I have and if not you, you haven't been around much.

Maybe your forum policing could be better spent. Not to insult, of course.

Lmao....are you serious?? Lots of people put Raptor touches on their rides. Including Ram and Chevy owners. (The front amber lights) I highly doubt the op is trying to fool anyone.

I have a standard regular cab with 4x4. XL...I dont need lots of the crap your vehicle has. Like carpet or silver accents. BUT if I choose to put chrome bumpers or carpet on my truck that is my business and I'm not trying to fool anyone. Just adding mods. No where did the op say hes trying to make a raptor clone.

You can install the applique without the raptor badge. So your point is moot. People just want the Ford logo.

I don't think it would be like that once you mounted it to the vehicle, the adhesive should keep it flush to the truck, but hard to say for sure.

Yep, it's called personalization of ones vehicle, no one would ever mistake my truck for a 2nd gen Raptor but I have the grille on my XLT because I like the look.
