I have the 3.31 rear locker. My sticker on the frame says hd 4x4 cc mini 145" guess that is for the tow package 7000# GVWR. Curious why you recommend 4.10? I'm new to this.

Curious why you recommend 4.10? I'm new to this.

It's the axle ratio that the Raptor uses, and the Raptor uses that tire size.

Your overall tire diameter will affect your truck's final drive gearing. Did you notice any change in your truck's part-throttle acceleration after installing the larger diameter, and, heavier tires?

You'd notice a huge, positive, change just going to 3.73 axle gearing.

The sticker on your frame only denotes the frame used on which was built your short-wheelbase, crewcab 4 X 4.

The 7000# "Payload Package" is not your truck's tow rating/tow capacity. That info is elsewhere, depending on how your truck was addtionally equipped.

In other words, your truck should not go down the road weighing any heavier than 7000 lbs total.

There's another label on your truck's driver door jamb. On it are the words, TIRE AND LOADING INFORMATION -and- "The Combined Weight of Occupants And Cargo Should Never Exceed:" with an amount in lbs/kgs. Let's say it is (since we haven't seen it) 1800 lbs.

That hypothetical 1800 lbs is what you can put into the truck, including yourself. From that 1800 lbs you must consider any trailer's tongue weight, which, on a 5000-lb trailer can be as little as 500 lbs. That would leave you with just 1300 lbs of people and luggage, camp gear, etc.

Your tow capacity is what the truck is rated to pull. It is different from what has just been described above.

I will have to research this more, I honestly have not noticed a difference. But also having this all done at one time i have been so excited driving it I could be over looking the difference in the feel of throttling. But i can say the feel of driving it is far noticeable in the way the bilsteins outshine the factory shocks completely night and day. I'm not a complete off roader but i'm looking for this truck to be sorta overland but not extreme being no baja driving just good old back roads driving in forest and parks to do camping. I plan on towing a little I have a dual waverunner trailer not much weight but could possibly go with a travel trailer later but no extreme weight again try to keep it below 6000lbs. I'm curious about going with a airbag system for towing need to get some info. Everything i'm doing i want to be safe and try to keep the maintenance to a minimum. I will have to look into the 4.10 gearing. I'll get a few pictures as you request of the rear i'm taking it that you want to see the underside rear of rear axle?

And that's a fact, Jack! Yes, indeed. Glad you noticed that.

And, from your latest photos, you have the 9.75" (ring gear size, not a ratio) rear end. It is interesting that you say it's geared with the 3.31-ratio gearing.

Why not post another photo each of the two stickers affixed to your driver door jamb. We can learn more about your axle gearing from it.

Now you have me thinking, i said 3.31 cause on the window sticker it states it. I have made of copy of the window sticker and also pictures of door stickers and frame sticker. Hope you can tell me more cause i have no idea what any of it means.

You are correct. Your truck has the 9.75" (heavy duty) rear axle, and in it is the 3.31:1 ring and pinion gear ratio. You have the Electronic Locking rear differential, which may help you in low-traction conditions if you find one rear wheel spinning in dirt, mud or ice. Or, when towing a boat out of the water on a slick boat ramp.

It's the favored axle housing for towing, but your axle gearing is taller than usual for towing. Your 10-speed trans helps in this regard, because you can tow a slight uphill in 6th, which is still underdriven. 7th gear is a 1:1 transmission ratio, then you have THREE overdrives, or, three overdriven transmission ratios. When you do tow something, use Tow/Haul mode (accessed through a button on the shifter).

It may take some time to digest this info, but, there it is.

The amount of weight you can put in your truck according to your Tire and Loading Info is 1787 lbs. Your truck, if you were to weigh it with a full tank of fuel and NOTHING else in it (not even you, or a flashlight; nothing at all) the scale should read 5213 lbs before your wheel/tire swap. Depending on the weight difference between the Raptor set and your OEM wheels/tires, your 5213-lb "curb weight" may have changed. Minor detail.
