Custom rock sliders
I've been looking for some good rock sliders that are frame mounted, not something like Smitty Built that uses the nerf bar mounts. Thanks to good ole Facebook, and an off road group, several folks have suggested I chat with a guy in Colorado Springs that makes custom sliders. We are sending info back and forth, but here are some pics of the type we are discussing. My wife wants the top dimple plate, so she doesn't slip and lodge her foot between the bars, lol. He can build and ship them too, but we have family in Colorado, so will swing by and get them mounted there.
Anyone wants his info, hollar.

Are you drilling into, or welding to, the frame to mount them?
I've pulled my factory steps for more clearance (after dragging them across a rock or three and being afraid I'd bend them up into the body), but actual sliders are a bit more tempting.

These will be welded to the frame. I do not have an exact price, but when I asked for a ballpark estimate, he said 650 to 750, definitely under a grand.
My stockers have taken a beating. Wife jumped up and down on it, and it popped back into place. A rock bowed it up to the truck. Both rnd caps are long gone, but overall they've protected the bottom of the doors, so better than nothing.
Edit: I changed from bolted to welded. I assumed bolts, since I thought they could be shipped, but then again, anyone who can weld could weld them on also! Stringer that way too, for sure!

Wife got home the other day, for got to update this thread. Love the look and how stout these things are! Total price was $700, and he is trying a new coating, so since I am his first, he did it for free. He has seen good reviews on the durability, but if it comes off later, I'll figure out something. More of a function over looks type of thing anyway.
1 of 4 anchors welded to the frame.
Closest to the rear of the truck, frame curves up
