Default 14" Wide Wheel On 13.5" Wide Tire

Hey guys. Looking for some advice. I'm going to be grabbing a set of new wheels. I'm choosing between some 20x12-44's or some 20x14-76's. Looking for any info or experience running a wheel wider than tire. I'm concerned with reliability etc. Thank you.

I would stick with no more than a -44. -76 is putting a **** ton of stress on the hubs and axle bearings. Even a -44 with 37's is gonna be pushing it in My opinion. But I am gonna take a stab in the dark and say it's not your daily driver?

P.s. running a wheel wider than the tire gives it that balloon look And is less protection for the wheel. It does look good on some trucks that I have seen though.

A wheel wider than a tire on a truck is a recipe for disaster...
Cool kids do it on their Civics, Lexus and awesome street machines to drop 'em like crazy... and cool kids with too much money do that on their exotics, too...

Plenty of examples there: http://www.stancenation.com/

I used to have a Mitsu Eclipse... even back then I thought it looked completely ridiculous. Can't imagine what it would look like on a truck

This is a 22x14 with 37x13.50 if you were wondering what it looks like.

Yeah, I know the risk of running that much offset. -44 is a lot. -76 is ridiculous. Im more curious about reliability of the tire getting stretched like that. It actually is my daily driver. She see's dirt on a regular basis. Yeah, the baloon look usually isnt great looking. I've seen some that look good, and some look awful. I'm pretty set on the 20x12. But thought I'd see if anyone is doing this on here for ****'s and giggles. Thanks for the feedback! By the way, that super duty would never be a good daily, and the paint would get destroyed off road. But she's still beautiful haha

Believe it or not it looks better on trucks. 13.5 on a 14 wide wheel isn't too terrible because it's only a 1/4 inch on each side of the tire. It doesn't look bad on that super duty, even though that things got too much stance for my taste. But when guys go full ricer and stretch them way out it looks terrible.

It's gonna look sick regardless lol. I would be running 20x12's with a -44 if I could swing That cash without my house getting forclosed on... 😂

haha I think -44 is perfect for a nice aggressive stance. But not pushing it way too far.
