Thumbs up 2013 FX4 Roush Stage 2 - Lots of questions :)

Excited to be here and learn from everyone.
I bought a new to me 2013 FX4 Roush Stage 2.
One owner so perhaps they are on this forum and can let me know the history
We currently own a 2009 Lariat (wife's truck) so much of my comparison is to this however its a 5.4L
Truck had under 80,000km (under 50,000miles)
I received the "install instructions" for the Phase 2 kit in the truck...and that's all I know

I have so many questions that keep popping up. Thanks for anyone that can help.

First things I plan/have done since getting this truck.
- Cleaned the Roush filter with a K&N recharge kit.
- Updated the Sync 2 software. (added background thanks to the great people on this forum).
- Plan to change the Supercharge oil with AC Delco (Still need to find a syringe that fits).
- Plan to do an oil change with motorcraft synthetic oil 5w20 (Unless someone says there is a better choice).
- Plan to change the cabin filter.

Questions I currently have based on reading:
1) I hear I should change the oil more frequently due to supercharge? (3,000km / 1800miles) true?
2) How often should I change supercharger oil?
3) Should I change spark plugs more often due to supercharger
4) Should I do a transmission flush?
5) Truck shifts hard assuming this is the tune (reason for #4) but how do I know what tune is in this?

Thanks for your time. I hope to share lots more in the future.

Join the facebook group High Performance 5.0 F150s

Lots of people there with forced induction systems that can guide you. They live performance parts and forced induction.

Also, have this post moved to the https://www.f150forum.com/f123/ section of the forum. Better off there. Congrats on your truck!

Yes, typically a good idea especially if you're running it hard and/or E85. 1800 miles seems excessive but won't hurt. Normal 3000 should be fine.
2) How often should I change supercharger oil?
Typically 75-100k miles depending how hard you are running it. May be a good idea to change it now assuming it hadn't been changed yet.
3) Should I change spark plugs more often due to supercharger
Every 10-12k miles should be fine. I would check them at least every other oil change.
4) Should I do a transmission flush?
This is sort of a loaded question. Do more research on this topic as it's very controversial when it comes to older vehicles.

Did the truck come with any sort of tuning device? It had to have one at some point in it's life. Hopefully the previous owner left it in the center console or glove compartment for you.
Great looking truck! Plenty of knowledgeable supercharger owners on this forum. I'm sure they will start chiming in.

I agree, I think it is a good idea to just start fresh change all the fluids as I'm not sure what was done.
As for the tuning device...no. From what I read of the Roush install manual it just comes with a flash that ford flashes to the truck and that's it.

Is there a way to send navigation address's from your phone to Sync 2? I mean it's really a pain in the *** to have to type that all out, our even to use Google Assistance or Siri to find the address?

What are some standard transmission temps I should see for just daily driving. I see the dash has this one single temp guage so was wondering what I'm looking for...does it indicate if it outside the norm (change colour or anything)?

Look into doing a SYNC2 to SYNC3 upgrade. There's a big thread on here about it. SYNC3 will give you Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both of which will give you what you're after. It's probably the best money I've spent on my truck.

My trans temp gauge sits just below the middle and never moves... even when towing. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but I consider that 'normal'.

on useffullness and value for the dollar this upgrade wins over all others i have done. It was literally lifechanging in the fact i drive over 100 miles a day and before the biological attack traffic was so bad you could get screwed in a matter of min with no notice and have to dump off the intersate and find alternative route. Real time traffic info worth its weight in gold for me.
