Basically how good is it?
If u don't like it, look into the cravenspeed shorty.

Stubby and strong. Good signal in city limits but found it sucked out in rural towns.

Another question on this subject:

If you remove the entire antenna, is there just a hole in the fender or does it have some sort of raised area?

Does anyone have a pic of one completely removed?

I just received the one from craven speed mentioned earlier. It works well on fm. I am losing signal when going under overpasses with am. Looks good and worth the money. Shipped out the next day and received within 3 days.

I only posted for someone that had either replaced a fender or had replaced the antenna completely so I didn't have to remove all the stuff from the truck just to find that I could not replace the antenna with a different aftermarket electric. So if you don't know, No answer would suffice.

Anyone tried one of these? I'm thinking of getting it just for in town use (The factory one smacks the pipes in my 3 level parking garage at work).

Just unscrew the ball off the factory antenna, then chop 2 or 3 inches off, and put the ball back on. A few guys on here have done that to clear garages.
