The foam piece didn't come in the one I got for my '13? Seems to work ok without it though.

Depends on what version you got. If you got the newer version with the nutsert and the strut pops onto ***** then no need for foam piece.

Yes, I just got my second one from them because the 9 turns didn't hold up and started pulling out of the hole. After opening and closing the ball bolt was backing itself out because of the weird angle.

I called to buy a replacement because it was driving me nuts and they sent a whole install kit free of charge!

It's a pain but I just installed the new hardware today, it was a bitch getting the old one out but I did and did 12 turns with blue loctite. Everything works like a charm again! Lol it's also a bitch getting the end of the strut off the ball!

Hold Allen and turn nut to the right 12 times and it snugs right up.

Yeah, I had read online about 9 turns not being enough so I did 11 or 12 turns, can't remember.

I kinda read the directions but the nutsert still threw me off at first. I did the 9 turns and noticed it starting to pull out sideways a bit. So I placed the bolt back in and turned it until I saw fit don't recall how many turns but it's all good now. Awesome little invention.

Yep, exactly what happened to me except I ignored it until it was almost pulling out. It got so bad that the strut almost rubbed against the truck.

This one was free for me. All but impossible to see in the pic I took, but I took some screen door mesh and painted it black, then clear coated it. Then I fitted into the unsightly hole in the bumper.
