Cool $50 Mods

For a whopping 30 bucks, this may not be the prettiest underseat storage box, but that baby will take a beating for sure. Angle iron and plate steel diamond plate. (After welding the frame I threw this around and jumped on it to make sure it was sturdy).

Also, I put markers on my toolbox for $20, bedliner on my nerf bars for $10, and an hf receiver for free. (Although I still prefer my cb)

On my to do list for $50 dollar mods.
Gotts, Ziptie, Nerf bar markers, bed light leds (just waiting to install), raptor grille lights, Flood lights front and rear.

K&N drop in filter-
I was VERY surprised there was even a noticeable difference after I installed this on a 2013 (5.0L) 4X4...

On the freeway, I don't have to put my foot in it as hard when going uphill and trying to get her to downshift. Plus, there is just a slightly smoother sensation when the shifting actually occurs at those freeway speeds... maybe thats my imagination, but there certainly less gear hunting going on up some grades.

Ive done a few complete "cold air system" on other vehicles, so I didnt expect much here. The only other vehicle I had that had a noticeable change in performance with a simple drop-in filter was a Jeep TJ 4.0L 5sp I had back in 2000.

Money well spent IMO

I didn't do a true Gott's mod, but I did put on a 2011 air intake part # 7C3Z-9F721-A. It really helped with throttle response and give it a bit more exhaust noise on the stock system. It only cost me $4 at my dealer. If you have a 09 or 10, it is worth the money and the 15 mins it takes to install it.

I put on my DeeZee Tailgate Assist this past Thursday. While I don't use the tailgate all that often, it's a nice little feature for when your hands are kinda full or if my little nephews or niece open the tailgate for something.

I think those pictures have finally convinced me to put in a order for a set. They look great and I think they would make my truck look good since my windows are tented so dark it would make everything flow together better. Looks good!
