hopefully when stopped somewhere to keep them from going somewhere. Putting dogs in the back isn't the best idea...if something happened and you brake or swerved, Fido is unfortunately got a very high likelihood of either being hung / drug along the ground next to the vehicle/launched out and seriously hurt.
while it seems the bed is a great idea and perfect for dogs, driving with them back there could cause you more pain than I care to get into. Happened to a friend of mine...he was a mess after.
maybe he meant when the truck is parked and the gate is down... like at a picnic
that's all I thought off. Actually one of the better tips on here. I've always felt bad keeping my dog inside when I was working on my truck in the driveway.
I have a 2013 f150 supercrew lariat. I have a front light bar and rear led back up lights. Both are very powerfull in their located postions. I like the newer f150 with the side mirror leds lights. They bright but I wanted something brighter and did not want to attach anything to the mirror since its still under warranty for 100k. I ended up doing this modification for under $50. Tell me what you think. Thanks
I'd LOVE to have the pole and step! I especially like the 15+ design.
Ford got it right on the '15+. Not on the '14-. Plastic bedliner cover and pole stick up so high, it will ruin a piece of sheetrock and makes it a pain to do any work from the tailgate. (sawing boards etc.)
Also, if you ever haul dirt, gravel, mulch, etc., you can't sweep it without stuff falling down in the grooves and into the tailgate.
Dogs: Ours would nearly break something trying to jump in/out with all the handle and ridges. This makes it much safer for him.

There is a thread on here where they removed the stripper pole and put a non step tailgate cover.
