2013 XLT 5.0 with 48k miles. The cooling fans turn on high very quickly after the truck is cold started, within a few seconds. They seem to stay on high even while driving down the road. Ive also noticed the AC is not blowing as cold. Can these be related? Outside temp has been 90-98 degrees.
Thanks

yes, if ac system pressure is too high it will crank the fans up to try and bring system pressure down. If you turn the climate control system off do the fans drop back down shortly after?

might want to check that again. Didn’t the 302 come out in 1967-1968 as a stroked 289. This 302 would later be called the Ford 5.0 and used until ~2001 when it was replaced by 4.6 modular engine and then our 5.0 Coyote engines arrived in 2010 for the 2011 production year.
and one can still purchase the small block Ford 302 / 5.0L from ford racing today.

Sorry, typo. Its a 2013. The fans do not turn on high until the AC is on. 99 degrees today and I let it idle with the AC off and the fans did not turn on. With the AC on, the fans turn on high very quickly. Thanks for the help.

Up in Canada we didn't get the 5.0 coyote until spring 2011 we are always 3 to 6 montha behind it seems.
