Looks like it has a lot of features that The '13 Ram and '14 Chevy added. Everyone said they were just gimmicks on the competition but I'm sure on the Ford they'll be great.

I like it.
As for hauling flexible material on the roof, well I don't think your average person hauls plastic siding. If they do then you would have something custom built, say a storage box you put up there when you haul the flexible material, otherwise get a trailer.
Then as to tying it down at both ends, depends on what you hauling. You could tie things down at one end and it would be fine for a vast majority of situations. I would also suspect the roof material in which the hauled material would sit on is somewhat skid resistant. I personally think it's a good concept. Also one could access tie rear downs across the roof fairly easily from the bed.

In my opinion the ladder rack is a great idea. I actually use my truck for construction and I don't know how many times I have gone with shorter material so it would be hanging out the back of my truck. As far as ladders go forget about it I have to get a trailer. If any of you have ever used a ladder rack on a truck than you know how easy it is to tie everything off from the bed. than you climb out like you normally would use the tail gate as a step. I mean really how do you guys wash the roof of your trucks? Ford uses these forums for feed back, and hopefully we don't lose a great option like this because some people can't think around how they would use it.

I disagree. The column shifter is outdated and ugly. Too bad the SuperDuty doesn't offer a floor shifter, I might have bought one instead of my F150.

Lol...you actually think ford is going to backtrack in technology to put a big bowflex column shifter in an awkward place? No, that's gm's job. In 2004 people raved because ford was the first to offer a console shift on a truck. It adds style and luxury...I'd actually consider changing brands if they deleted that feature, because I love it.
