I use mine as a shade tree when I am fishing on these hot Texas days. Me and my son can sleep in the back when camping and my dog can go anywhere with us anytime in any weather. Plus it is safer for him. You cant do that with a tonneau. A 6'8" guy cant camp in the back of an Expedition. Best accessory I bought for my truck.

I think there's some lifted trucks out there that look bad-***** with a camper top. The one thing they really do is make the truck look a lot bigger. Me personally, I'd go with it!

The good things about it is you can always take it off and they always sell fast...

Yeah I have a 5x10 enclosed and a 16' car hauler but I dont pack them around with me at all times,,lol
Has been many times I have had to go pick up things when it was raining and it was nice that it stayed dry, or hauling plants/flowers home for the wife and they did not get wind blown on the way.

Default Leer Shell W Roof Rack

My kids say I'm an old man @ 48 but I can still school them on wakeboards and out shoot them on ducks most days. They call my truck an SUV but both want it if I die because they cant afford it and know its sick... LOL

I bought a used Leer on CL for $600 and had it painted to match. It already had the LED interior lights and Thule rails so I got a roof rack for hauling stuff like decoys in the winter. With a Bed Rug the dog is secure and my stuff all stays dry.

Shells, toppers whatever you call them serve a purpose and work well for securing most things but they do create larger blind spots. Too each is own. I don't know if it is an age thing or not...

I'm always hauling around equipment or something else heavy these days.

Rain is annoying because I'm often hauling around my zero turn in the bed but I wouldn't be able to get it in there with a topper.

Here's the ARE I'm planning to go with, the Z series.

I have a 2014 Sterling Grey w/ tow mirrors so it should look similar to the one above minus the roof rack.

That's what I have, love it!

Great quality. Neighbor was helping me remove it, thought it was on the saw horses I had set up and literally let go of it. Cap free fell around 6" til it hit the 2x4 on the horses. Not a single crack, spider web, nothin!

Had to order a decal for the lift gate handle, they shipped it right out, no questions asked with a hand written note (I had a prior issue with my dealer.)

Great paint match as well, you'll love it.
