Yea. That makes sense. Ill probably order a flip key and a regular one. That way if I lose one, I can program a third one.
I know I need two KEYS to program a third. Is that the same for remotes? Or I can program those myself whenever I want, no need to have two. Right?

Default Reprogam factory remotes?

I purchased the switchblade key a while back and have been very happy with it. Until last night when ...

...I lost it

So, I grabbed my factory keys and the remote would not work. I tried the second factory one and it did not work either.

I thought it may be the batteries -- installed new ones and still no luck.

Any ideas?

When you programmed your switchblade key did you also program your stock two? I think you have to do reprogram all of them to add one

Yes you have to program all of them at the same time. I programmed my switchblade today after my dealer cut it for me.

what they said. I forgot to do this. Because it doesnt say to reprogram the stock keys in the manual. Or I missed it. But I realized it right away and fixed them. Not sure how to rectify your situation. Might have to get a tow to the dealer.

The key itself works -- I can start and drive the truck. The "clicker" doesn't work.

If the directions said to program the originals too I must have missed it.

Besides the dealer (or finding the flipkey) are there any other options?

should be

Insert key, turn from off to on eight times with in 10 secs with the eighth turn ending in the on position

The doors will lock/unlock to confirm

within 20 secs program a remote by hitting any button, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm it has been programmed.

Repeat step 3 for more remotes.

Turn ignition off or wait for 20 secs.

good luck
