I got mine from artiway on ebay too. I searched 09 f150 key and saw their flip key. Just got in. have to go get it from post office later, then have dealer cut n program it for me since I only have 1 original/working key. Bought an extra plain key that I will program myself that way if I lose one, I still have 2.

I'm still waiting to hear if anyone has gotten a newer Ford Edge or Fusion type key and fob combo with the remote start button to work on an 06 F-150.

This is an '09+ forum so you probably won't get feedback on that here.

Got it. $85 to cut n program and it would take almost 2hrs. Another dealer quoted me $40. Ill check them out later.
Can I program the remote even if I only have 1 working remote? Or do I need 2 like the keys?

You need two programmed keys! So definitely program a 3rd yourself once the flip key is programmed so you dont have to pay to program in the future if you lose a key again.

Yea. That's the plan. Programmed the remote very easily. Now just need the key

I have the exact same key as in your pic. It is still going strong after a year of hard use, except the silver button is now gold, and the symbols have all rubbed off.

My only tip is to locktite the screws holding the key onto the flip out portion. They kept backing out and made the key unable to fold in. Once you do this it is problem free. Mine still has the original battery, too.

Yay! Finally. At first they were like "that's a cool key but its not gonna work...it don't have chip. Where did u get it. Our machine wont cut it..blah blah blah"
I told them I knew a bunch of guys who had the exact same key and it worked. I didn't tell them that they were all from this forum. Lol

They actually cut n programmed both the flip n the generic one I got for $45 total. Different dealership was gonna charge me $80. It took em forever tho. About 1 hr.

Looks like a 4-button key Do you have factory remote start? If so, does it work?
