Yea. It was listed as a 3 button key. I press the 4th button and the light in the middle lights up but nothing happens. I don't have remote start. The other 3 buttons work just fine.
Only downside is tiny loop on bottom. Nothing fits

Yea I saw that. I need to find one of those around the house. I put a small key ring but had to bend it so it could fit. Did you remove that silver piece or just slip it in.

See. Looks like someone was chewing up my key ring. And it was a smaller thinner one

I actually seperated the 2 halves of the key and laid it in the silver part then put it back together. Been going well for 3+ months, very strong.

Yea. I ended up finding something like yours. Opened it up. Slid it in. chain barely fit. put it back together. Very happy.
So for anybody who gets this key, its easier to open it and use small chain.

I told them I knew a bunch of guys who had the exact same key and it worked. I didn't tell them that they were all from this forum. Lol

They actually cut n programmed both the flip n the generic one I got for $45 total. Different dealership was gonna charge me $80. It took em forever tho. About 1 hr.
That's a bit to large for me. I like the stock key with the built-in buttons.

It's really not that much bigger than a stock all in 1 Ford key, they are about the same thickness and when the key is folded in it is shorter than the stock. My wife drives a Flex and I have compared them as that was what I was originally going with.

Got mine a few days ago, went to Lowes and gave them the blank out of the remote body, and they cut it for free. But they did specify that it was not guaranteed to work, as obviously they could not replace the blank if it didn't work. Luckily it did, and then put the blank back into the housing with a bit of Blue Locktite, then programmed the truck to recognize bothe the key and the remote. Viola both work like a charm. Then I took the body back apart and installed a small keyring into the chrome attachment point. Took a bit of finese, but it worked without having to mangle it. I also thought about using a different small ring that I could spread open to install, then press shut with a pair of needle nose, but didn't have to go that route, so all is good but thought maybe someone else would like the idea. Anyway here is a pic of mine with the small keyring installed...
