I shoulda been more specific. The remote part for lock/unlock doesn't work anymore. They key itself opens doors manually and starts the truck! So I wouldn't have experience with what your asking Norcal.

You will need a blank blade and cut it for your new truck.
The whole thing is like $30 on ebay.
You would have to find a new blade for the one you have.
See if you can find a blank blade, if not, just stick a crowbar in your wallet.
Imoho, that key would help sell the truck.
Make sure buyers know it's "special".
Wow I just realized what a dumb question I asked, lol. Obviously the key wouldnt work cuz its cut for my ignition and doors. It is a plus to the truck though.

I have seen the pictures for the four button OEM remotes. I was wondering if anyone knew a good link to buy one at a price under $100 and if the remote start works when the FOB is programmed? Thanks in advance.

I was also wondering the same thing. I have a late production year 2010 w/ a 100 remote start and would really like to replace the key and 2 fob's with the 4 button key. Has anyone successfully programmed one of these with the lock/unlock and remote start functions? I have read people being able to do lock/unlock, but have not seen anyone saying if they had successfully programmed the remote start portion. Thank You

I have a 2011, but if you lose one it is impossible to make a copy. That means handing over another large sum of money to the dealership. If you enjoy giving money away I'm always available for donations.

Love this simple convenience! 6 min. install , 4 min activation and free cutting of the keys! USB model done too...cool to have a backup.
