Question: That gap on the right, is it suppose to be there or not? Seems as though everyone has it! ????????? Anyone know?

Mine wasnt leaking, I was trying to address the gap on the right which I thought was the rubber gasket slipping. What I found out was, when I tried to move the rubber gasket it would not so I took it out and that was a mistake.

When I bought my 09 XL, it had a solid rear window, I bought a (manual) slider from Tasca Ford, they always offer good prices on NEW FORD parts.. That said I don;t thru anything away.. I still have the old window.. If some one wants it I can work with them.. however just know mine is an '09 XL regular cab.. If someone wants it, they have to do the research on fitment.
Yes, the seal kit for the 2004-2008 trucks referenced above did work, and the interior is still dry to this day. No trouble with it since this fix. 👍😁

Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company. We are happy to provide information on your part. The part number for the weather strip is AL3Z-15262A80-A. Below is a link to the part for your convenience

Unfortunately, that part number that you posted does not take care of the lower seal that you need. It addresses leakage of the side vertical seals. Ford did not offer a kit for the 2009 and up models because of the center seat belt shoulder belt bracket being in the way. That is why I used the kit for the 2004-2008 models. You cannot remove the sliding glass completely. It would be easier to do what I did by removing the entire window from the truck and putting it on a bench.

No, the gap isn't supposed to be there. The seals shrink.

@brunosplace im running into the same issue now. I just ordered the 04-08 seal kit that you referenced. My question is why couldn’t you just open the sliding window all the way open and then remove the bottom weather stripping and install the new one that way. It looks very easily accessible to do that way? Seems too good to be true so im wondering if there’s something im missing or not thinking of that requires taking the middle glass out of the track?

That's good to hear. How did it hold up for you? I'm so confused as to why he thought he had to remove the entire window from the track.
