no issues I even bought the Ford silicone. I think any high quality silicone will do for the adhesive.

I was gonna use gorilla glue. Would you advise against that? Seems like it would be less messy than silicone

I would use the silicone. I put it in the track, placed the trim in and shut the window. Let it dry for several days.
