Whitehorse? I rode the train from Skagway about half way there. Pretty remote, rugged and beautiful. Can't imagine the miners walking it with their gear. Brrr.

Yeah every spring White Pass does a "Yukoners Weekend". We drive down and ride the train, then go for lunch, drive back to Whitehorse.

You can hike the Chilkoot if you want, but you have to sign up early as they only let a few people do it every year and you need to cross the border.

I'm in Vancouver as well. Too much congestion and bad drivers here. I was hit twice within 6 months! Then a year later someone hit my truck while parked in a lot.

DAMN... You remember the dusting of snow we had just before Christmas? Like barely 4 or 5 inches? Was such a gong show trying to deal with all the fobs who can't drive on a sunny summer day, never mind a bit of the white stuff...
