Someday I'm going to laugh about this, but I'm really hating this trick right now. I have a code for not having communication with the fuel pump driver module. Checked and it has a good power and ground. Got a new driver and nothing. It also said that I have an error with the fuel level sending unit. The truck should have 3/8 tank and the gauge says E. Pulling the bed now to see if I can find anything.

That's stuff that had nothing to do with the motor swap too...good luck.

What frustrated me with this whole fuel pump situation is that I knew it was something simple and small. The connection that connects the main engine bay harness to the frame rail harness was connected enough to get the main power wires to connect, but not enough to allow the signal/can bus wires to connect. After chasing my tail for the ENTIRE weekend this popped into my head and it fired up. I really wish my brain would have kicked into gear BEFORE I pulled the bed, but it at least runs. The bed is back on, the coolant has been bleed and the coolant system has been looked over roughly 10 times. I will hopefully be taking it on a test drive Thursday. My brain has checked out from trying to diagnose this issue and I need a few days away from it.

I started back on the door panels though. The two main pieces are welded together, the arm rests are cut and welded (need to get them to an upholstery shop soon) and I'm now trying to cut the lower inner tray pieces to work. I'm tired of having my window switches dangle off the door of this thing.

Engine #2 runs AND drives! Took it for a quick trip to the parts store and back. Had a bit of smoke die to the exhaust wrap I put on the Y pipe. I'll put a video together soon, but want to do a few more trips with it first.
