Door panels are coming along. I ordered some sander pads to sand the seams today, so hoping to knock the rest of this out today. I did get the lower trays done and welded back in. The arm rests should be done this week, so that should help a lot with the interior cabin noise. Also ordering the new 30" muffler. I'm REALLY going to miss the sound of this thing screaming. Maybe when I do the 4v head swap, I'll redo the exhaust and toss in some fun cutouts!

Still trying to source some final things. The A pillar trim on the drivers side is giving me some issues. The tabs don't line up and I don't have the skill to weld in new tabs. on the passenger side I can move the nutzert on the handle to hold it in place, but they never made a handle on the drivers side. It also is short to the headliner and I would need to extend them. My hope (I wish I'd have thought of this while I was at the junkyard) is to try the trim from the SDs. I believe the dash is close to the same and they have handles on both sides. They don't have the tweeter locations, but that would be an easy addition.

The main thing I need are black seat belts. My 07 ones are moldy and not wanting to work with the 09 RCM. I've sent a few emails to some yards so hopefully I can get those in and really put some miles on it!

As always, thanks for staying with me on this crazy adventure.

I'm really hoping it doesn't lose the tone it has with the larger muffler.

New issue. The truck wants to hear up at highway speeds. I can cruise around all day in town, but getting up to speed causes the temps to rise.

Wondering if the lack of space between the fans and radiator is an issue.

Shouldn't need/have any space between fans/radiator.
I'm assuming it's a known good thermo and it's fully opening?

It's one from the junkyard. I'm about to get another one and toss in it though. Fingers crossed

So long as you can confirm it's fully opening (maybe try the boiling water/pan test before swapping it in?) then we can start looking elsewhere.

It appears to be something more simple. I didn't turn the heater on when I bled the system. I was playing with it on my test run to town yesterday and appeared to introduce air into the system. Rebled the system and appears to be holding temp again.

really annoyed at myself for that brain fart...
