Well some unfortunate news right now, but truck is sidelined for the moment. I can't get the fitting I need to fix the powersteering. I'm honestly looking right now at just swapping a Dana 60 into it and calling it a day. My new plasma cutter for my CNC table has shown up and getting all of that set up has taken all of my time. But it's going to open up all kinds of possible things for the shop so for that, I am very excited.

I did just order a 2011 Mishimoto radiator for this. Welding on new radiator hose ends amd making it fit will be a lot more cost effective than getting a whole new radiator.

My next head scratcher is this. I already want to swap to the 09-14 front end, so I'm trying to figure out if I can swap the core support to the 04-08. I know that you can build brackets to make the newer stuff fit the older core support, but with the radiator now as well it seems like this may be an easier swap if I can just swap that out as well.

Long story short, things are moving forward. This thing is going to be a BLAST here this fall. Until then hoping I can wrap up the interior and figuring out the core support/radiator swap. Stay tune

Also check out my YouTube. Going to start posting the other shop projects there if anyone is interested.

Got a question: Would a 04-08 lower aluminum control arm fit on a 09-14?

I'm hoping a 6" Fabtech lift and front dif will fit a 09+. Hoping to buy one, swap my lift/axles, wheels and tires onto and flip. I don't think I could get as much for them just by themselves.

Tell me about the vinyl overlay you had put on your retro inner door panels.
Something that be bought over the counter?
Apply with heat gun or?

It wasn't an overlay. All I did was plastic weld it and sand/paint. I'd give it a B+ at best, but you don't notice unless you point it out.

Oh Ok. Been a while, but I thought you had covered the seam with something.
I bought a 96 CCab and the door panels are pretty rough, and not wanting to spend 700.00 for just the front 2, and rears don't seem to be available.

If they made something on the order of heat shrinking vinyl overlay for a new surface........dreaming huh.....

Just a quick update, the truck is going to be sidelined until the fall. The radiator is here, but needs modified to work in the 07 core support. I was worried about the airflow it was going to get and long story short I'm going to do the 09+ front end swap now, swap the core support and then everything will just bolt in from there.

I just paid for the Super Dana 60 as well and will hopefully have that at my shop here in the next few weeks. The theory is if I need to cut it apart again just do it one more time. I think I'm going to make that in a different thread, bit I'll post the link of that in here so you guys can follow along. I'll also go up on my YouTube channel. I'm really excited to feel this V10 with links and 4.88s instead of 3.73s!!

I wish I had time to start on this now, but life got in the way again. I have projects that have to be done in the summer and this isn't a priority right now. I'm working on getting my shop up and running and there's a few outside house projects that have to get done in the summer.

I hope everyone is doing well! It's crazy to see how many people followed my crazy idea/ build thread!

No big updates yet, but scored these on Ebay! This should really look good with the 09+ front end swap.

I just installed those same headlights. Im really impressed with them. The wire for the daytime running lights might not work for you unless you added the power distribution block from the 9 to 14 trucks, but all you have to do is locate a key on power source
