Can the pan (yea I know) be modified? I'm not familiar with the V-10 as to where the pump and pickup screen sit.

Do a half round removal at the front bottom?

I did think of doing this, but the front crossmember is so large that I'd have to pull the engine to do this..... And at this point I don't want to have to pull this thing again until I do the front end swap. Without having a removable core support, it is a bear to get out of the engine compartment, and that's even with my bridge crane.

I'm hoping I can just weld a fitting onto it and call it a day. I'm definitely crossing my fingers on this!!

There is going to be no room left on this week gone bay. Finally figured out a mount for the tank and EVAP valve. Just need to make me house for both now, install the air box and figure out the mount for the reservoir. I'm going to use the small tank for now until I do the front end swap. It would take a lot more effort than it's worth (unless I was planning on keeping the older style front end) to put the larger tank in.

More to come since I'm off today.

Also, if I haven't said this before or you're new to this build...... The swap isn't worth it

With as much grief as you have had with this it doesn't sound like it. I give you high praise for sticking with it. It really is cool to see an engine swapped in that was never designed to be in there and yet you seem to be making it work.

I was able to get a section of a broken rack and pinion from the junk yard yesterday. After a bit of work with the hammer I was able to cap the old hole and have the new bung rotated about 20° and out of the way. It's almost fully installed back in the truck now and I'm hoping to get some fluids in it tonight after work.

The engine bay is back together, the power steering seems to be working, and the coolant system is burping.

I'm putting another coat of stain on my floors and then putting the front end back together after that. Possibly taking it for a drive tonight if all goes well.

I'm hoping to here soon. I need to get the door panels installed first (No AC and windows up isn't fun) and I need to get the seat belts working as well. Hopefully next month!

I also have a stock 05 at the shop so I want to do a comparison to it to see how much faster the V10 is. If I can get a Drag-E before then I can swap wheels and tires and have an apples to apples comparison for what this thing does over stock.
