Props to you for continuing to work on this thing. I for sure would've given up by now since it's been over 4 years. Good job on making it happen though! Finish line is a lot closer now than when you started.

It's close...... but the new starting line is also close.........
I'm going to do some 5.4/6.8 comparisons though with an 04 that I got in the shop though before I take it apart again. Should be interesting how much better it performs.
The hardest way to get a crippled f450. I was with you going with swapping the v10. Pretty cool. But swapping frames? Which I see as more of a cab swap than a Frame swap. Why bother? Is thecab of the f450 that bad? Ill still follow, but ive lost the why at this point.
This truck (minus a set of gears and a front end swap) is everything I wanted to be, minus a few quirks. It's everything I wanted it to be when I started.
The problem lies that I need to tow and haul a lot heavier things now that I'm starting a business. When factoring in what I could sell this truck for (not a lot) and the price of vehicles right now (2015-2018 6.7 Powerstrokes) this makes the most financial sense for me. For around $10k and my current project I can put together a F-450 crew cab with factory 4.88s, 12' flatbed, lariat interior and be able to legally tow almost 20k lbs.
to start all over I wouldn't have gone this route, but now that I'm here it seems to be the best decision I have.
