I would generally not carry that much in the back of the bed, usually no more than 12 bags (but usually 10), mostly because I don't want my mom knowing my truck's total load capacity, which is about 1700lbs. Basically, I tell her its a half ton pickup, so it can't have more than 1000lbs in the back.

I've told her it can tow 8600lbs, though. Even then, she's worried towing 3000lbs will damage the transmission.

Is it your truck or your moms truck?

Haha! I haven’t had that much weight in the back before and certainly didn’t feel comfortable doing 65mph down the interstate for 27 miles in the rain this way, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Mine of course. Telling her that it can only carry half a ton makes sure she doesn't have me doing lots of work on weekends that I am there. (My mom loves to micromanage projects)

Changed out my spark plugs yesterday and cleaned out the throttle body, took me a while and was doing it a lot in the dark but no plugs broke. I let the engine get to running temp and then started doing it, got lucky or they weren't original, not really sure. I bought the truck with 132k miles so I doubt it was original and all the coils were in really good shape too. Had a misfire on cylinder one though and it was late so I called it, went out there today and the coil pack plug wasn't plugged in all the way lol. It reeks of gas though when I first start it in the cab though today my guess was because that cylinder wasn't burning so it might take some time to burn out the gas maybe.

I'm guessing that one or more of your plugs is not torqued to spec if you're getting a gas smell.

Yeah, those aren't original plugs. They aren't SP-546, and they aren't SP-515 either. They're one of the in-between updates that are still two piece.

Nope, torqued them all the 25 ft-lb and the gas smell was gone today, had to burn out that fuel.
