Fusion paint is the best, but they've definitely changed the formula and it's not as good as it used to be. I thought about a 2k top coat, but I'm not sure how the 2 would mix.

Fortunately, my truck now sits in the show since it's a colander and leaks from everywhere.

Interested to see how long it lasts. Like everyone else that has done it...it's super easy and embarrassed it took me so long to get it done.

Yesterday I installed the takeoff wheels & tires, & installed & ran the wires for my map lights that I installed in the overhead console.

The wheels look nice. Do you have the center caps?. Doesn’t the regular cab have map lights on either side of the dome light in the rear? I think I turned them on once in the 14 years I had that truck. I remember swapping the main light to led and that was bright enough to see anything.

Thanks. Yes I have them, just have to put them on. Yes the dome light has map lights but for me they are hard to reach from the drivers seat. I wanted them up by the front windshield like the overhead console in the supe rcab & crew cab.

Had an encounter with my old truck, so took pictures. Bought it new in '04, traded it in in '15 at a dealership about 50 miles from home. It seems to have found its way back home with a new owner assuming the plate number is a fairly recent registration. I was going for a bit of a NASCAR look with the front air dam, spoiler and rear bumper cover. Looks pretty much like I traded it, minus the 2021 wheels, running boards, a few dents and lots of rust around the rear wheel arches.

That's sad when a nice truck gets neglected!
