Default Snow

Had to have my truck pulled out once again by Dad and his big Kubota.
No matter where I put it, if it's in snow or even wet grass, I'm probably stuck.

^ Thanks, I was kinda surprised to find a broken spring, there has never been any symptoms or noises. it is right near the bottom. I'm hoping that driving it before I get the wheel alignment doesn't do my tires in.

Stuff like that don't always give symptoms. Some of the most dangerous ailments a truck can have usually don't give any warning

I recently discovered my passenger side coil spring was broke at the bottom too!
Who knows how long its been like that! It went like this:
When rotating tires I noticed some play figured out it was from a bad outer tie rod.
I replaced it myself then went to have an alignment done and they found upper ball joint bad and the coil spring broke. The way it is its not going anywhere, but the shop kinda had me scared thinking it was gonna fall apart or something. Got some other advice and realize that it may have been broke for who knows how long!
--Long story short, my truck has always rode rough so I purchased Monroe quick struts and also reflex shocks for rear. Looking into having to buy upper control arms as well because of the ball joint play. When it warms up in a few weeks hope to replace it all with the help of my dad. Save a lot of labor money and really hoping for a smoother ride.

When i got mine used it had driver side coil broken too. Didnt notice till i did the brakes after a few hundred miles or so. Apparently they had 6 in stock at the parts store, indicating it is a common part that goes...

Yesterday I welded my reinforcement in, straightened my bumper beacket, test fitted my fender, bumper, headlights and upper bumper filler
Now it has to come back apart and I need to do some prep work to get it ready to paint

Fixed the raw fuel smell in the cab. My edge picked up a code for misfire in cylinder 2, misfire on start up and bank 1 running lean. Turns out the plug backed its way out. Got in there and tightened it down. With that out of the way it's time to address the beautiful rusty cab corners.

May have to have my passenger corner done again... Started bubbling out this fall figured let it run its course through winter
