I'm getting ready for new tires so I'll have the alignment done then. I'll also throw some pics on tomorrow when I do the other side.
I agree, unless the suspension components haven't been loosened or anything. A buddy of mine was doing mine, and he encountered so many problems because my stock suspension hadn't been messed with since 06....took him 3 hours and we couldn't finish the job because we needed a better heat source to loosen a rusted nut.

I just got lucky then. Mine is an 05 that has never been touched. That lower strut bolt takes a big breaker bar and a lot of weight but at 6'4 240 I had the weight covered. 😳. Hope I didn't jinx myself and have the drivers side fight me all the way. Gotta stop by and rent a bigger torque wrench to finish up. Mine caps out at 100 foot pounds. Side note my trucks never been off roaded so no build up on the bolts. Good luck getting yours done.

An impact gets the lower strut nut off pretty easily. Going back on, I went to 150lb/ft, then a 1/4 turn past.

Everything holding? Here's the torque specs that the kit shows. 351 foot pounds for that lower seems like a lot. But I guess at 150 plus a quarter is over 200 I'd guess?

Held tight for 15K miles until I took it off today. There is no correlation between degrees of rotation and torque (that I know of).

I have no access to a torque wrench that big. Be interesting to see what it ended up though....

I would be hitting them with pb blaster everyday til I tried again. I'm over in Idaho. We get pretty mild winters and they don't use salt so no rust to speak of here.

Jealous as hell. I've always wanted to go to Idaho and hunt.... seems like there's a lot of untouched land. And I have been hitting the pb blaster. Hahaha I'm trying again next week and have a good heat source on hand to help loosen nuts.

I was born and raised in Mississippi. You look at these mountains and think they don't look so bad. But they are man killers. But there are some awesome views and big animals but you gotta work for them.
That's not me it's a guy I work with.
