Well... I pulled the trigger and bought the canopy I was looking at. I will eventually PTM but it's good for now. Fits perfectly. The guy even swapped out the solid front window for a sliding one that he had laying around. This way I can open the slider on the truck and the canopy. I got a great deal for it being fiberglass, carpeted, and has third brake light built in. He even put in brand new t handle locks for free. Camping/travel season here we come!!!

I recessed the overhead console accent light:
Previously, it was proud of the panel, and at night it was slightly distracting. So, I recessed it and hot glued it in place.
I soldered the LED to the existing light bars. Now it's perfect.

You may be right on the difficulty to match the red since the passenger side is 2 different colors. Probably the original 12 year old paint has faded a bit that if new paint was applied it would not match. The canopy will remain the gunmetal gray for a while.
