I was tinkering with the brake light on the topper/canopy in between rain spells and found that it does not work. Pulled it off and found it all rusty and corroded inside the light cover. It was a series of bulbs connected to a metal base. I ripped out all the guts and reused the housing. I installed two 24 inch LED strips. Now I just have to mount it back to the topper and do the actual wiring to the green wire underneath the truck. Might do that tomorrow or Saturday when it's not raining.

Really nice job on the topper/canopy brake light! Very creative fix.

Thanks. It was cheaper than buying a whole new light and looks pretty good, I think.

I agree, keep it up, sucks about the rain though.

Got a ticket for speeding...long story that I don't feel like typing because it will probably end in a smashed computer...

You were able to speed with a 4.6? J/K, hope that makes you smile a little

It's a lot easier than you think you don't even have to try

I know, they are great engines. I waited on a white 08 Supercrew with black leather and the 4.6 and when I called to ask about it, it was in the process of being sold. Would've loved the 4.6 but lucked out with mine since it was meticulously maintained.
