Oh I hear yea. That was my first plan cut the tops and pull the box off.. My concern was the tapered bolts not fitting through the hole at the bottom of the box itself. I think I still have a original bolt somewhere. I used bolts that weren't tapered and got rid of the clip nuts so I can pull the box by cutting the tops off and the bolts falling out if i have to do it again. I may snap some pics tomorrow if I remember.

Either way he's trying to get the bed off the frame, not the frame off the bed... I think I'd rather grind up top and pick the bed up and off when the heads are gone... Then clean the bolts off the frame with the torches later while standing up...

Rather than laying underneath eating all the crud, dirt and grindings that fly and rattle off...

Like I said, how does grinding the heads off NOT help? ? ?
And also like I said personal preference...
can you tell me how to get to the very front bolts

You pull back the floor mat or carpet and there is a hole on each side. Take the cap off the hole and it exposes the top of the bolt that holds the body mount. Then you can get at both ends of the bolt and take off the nut on the bottom. When you get the bolt out of both sides, you can jack up the cab slightly and remove the old mount and replace it with a new one.
