Hey guys,
I'm pulling my hair out here! First let me introduce myself since I'm new here. My name is Craig, I'm a New Orleans Firefighter and I'm a mustang fanatic. My truck is my daily driver.
Ok, here's my problem. My brake lights stay on all the time weather truck is on or not. I changed the brake pedal switch and that didn't fix the problem. My left turn signal doesn't flash/blink either. I'm beginning to thing these 2 problems are related somehow. Does anybody know what's wrong with my truck? Thanks in advance!

first off pull the bulb out and check the bulb i had a subaru at work come in and the tail lights would not shut off... ended up being a bad bulb. the pos. and neg. side of the bulb melted together and caused a short to power. replaced the bulb. problem solved.

Hi, welcome to the forum!
What year truck is it? Have you replaced any bulbs, tried any rewiring or pulled one of the light housings recently? I ask because overtime some wire coating will begin to fray (sp?) and after awhile they may short and cause this. When changing bubs, if a wire is frayed (sp?) and the wire is twisted when placing it back in the housing it might rub against the other wires and bypass the bulb altogether or continue to supply power to the bulb. I learned this by accident when I was wiring some lights on my truck
, the brake and turn lights didn't flash when I pushed my hazard lights because two wires that weren't supposed to be touching were.

Thanks guys. I will look at the bulbs a little closer tomorrow. I just pulled 1 the other day to see if the lights would cut off but they didn't.

Are you sure the pedal switch is being engaged?
My 95 honda did this. I noticed a little plastic piece on the floor board. Apparently all this little plastic piece did was plug a hole that pressed a button on the switch.
Until I got down in the floorboard and looked at the pedal and operated it by hand did I notice this.
Hope this helps I know it was on a honda. Changing the pedal switch wouldn't have cured my problem.
