No I had them cut out my old exhaust, then run new pipe from the cat to a y pipe. Then they bent 2 new pipes to exit in the place I wanted it too and welded the whole works up.

1. Take a chain wrap it around your rear axle.
2. then back up to a big tree and tie off chain to said tree.
3. Take off from tree with truck floored
4. Repeat until the axle rips right out.
( of course it is a must to have buddies sitting around drinking beer watching your dumb*****)

so question about tips. I have a 99 with the V6 in it, and would like for just a little roar from it. Can I do this with just a tip alone or do I need to get an entirely new exhaust system to do it?

Well it depends what you are running now..stock exhaust I would say whole new system for some sound. Or if you have aftermarket already, a bigger tip will amplify the sound.

just running stock. I want to go the cheapest route for now. Wife isn't going to let me spend alot of money right now on it, especially for an exhaust system. lol

If ya want to go cheap go to a muffler shop have them whack off ur muffler and put a piece of pipe in it's place. Plenty of sound then.

Or you could do what I did and have a glass pack welded up.
