Front end work/shocks
I am on the eve of new lower ball joints, upper control arms, CV's, cranking the torsion bars and new shocks all around. Any advice and/or problems I might run into doing this? I just want to know if there are any problems with our trucks I should know of. Also, I am in the market for some new shocks. I am planning on getting a 1" larger block on the rear and cranking the t-bars and I want to see what might be the best option(s) for it.
It's a '01 screw 4x4 btw. Thanks for any input in advance.

First off good luck with your venture there shouldn't be any problems if you have rented a ball joint press
I have also heard that aftermarket cv's are not very strong and have been told to get factory rebuilt if possible
I am running pro comp es9000's meant for a 2" lift and i am loving them with my 35's keeps me feeling like i am driving the truck not the truck is driving me lol

maxing out your T-bars will cause your new parts to wear fast ...not like 2 months fast but quicker than normal ....you should be fine on everything tho! goodluck !

They are a great shock for the money i picked them up at the local 4 wheel parts about 2 months ago for 163 for all 4! Cant beat that deal but they dont come with boots so i picked up a set of blue boots for 20 bucks! Not bad at all!

Me id rather get factory good ones rebuilt cause even tho i do the work myself i often go offroading in remote areas and cant take a chance on snapping a axle out in the sticks

Eh I really don't like rebuilt cvs. If they left just one spec of dirt inside the dust boot when rebuilding it, that could cause your joint to wear out prematurely. I see no problem with a good brand aftermarket cv, just don't buy the cheapest one you find

Yeah that's where I got mine. I waited for their sale they have every year on them and got mine with boots for $125.

i couldn't wait for the a sale haha my front shocks were factory and they had no bushings or resistance at all haha she needed new shocks asap! (recently bought the truck) so just paid i knew i could probably get em a few bucks cheaper but hey better than wrecking the truck going 65 with no shocks and 35's haha looking to get a custom steering stabilizer soon! i have a slight wheel shimmy over uneven roads and bumps
