Default Front Suspension Questions

I've got a 1999 F150 Lariat, rear wheel drive, 5.4 V8. I need to replace the lower ball joints because they are really shot. I thought I'd do the upper ball joints as well. One of my shocks/struts has obvious signs of leakage, so it would be a good time to do that too. I'm having trouble determining which parts I need though, because my shock/strut is housed within a coil spring and from what I've seen on the net, these vehicles came with just shocks on the front. I think it is the stock suspension, but I suppose something could have been added.

I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Is the strut/shock/spring setup normal for this year and make or do I have to try to track down part numbers for the equipment that's currently on the truck?

Thanks.
