Default HELP!4.6 Cylinder Head Clarification!?!?

ok so heres the deal I have a 1998 f150 4x4 with the 4.6 and an automatic.... My engine is a romeo I believe Ithink my vin is the 6 engine code.... I found a engine for sale with a rod knock it says it is out of a 96 mustang gt and the seller says it has pi heads on it (there is no intake) he says it has 11 valve cover bolts.... soo is the engine for sale a romeo will this motor work in my truck I want to buy this motor rebuild it with new crank rods and aftermarket cams so is this motor a romeo and will it work in my truck? How can i tell if this motor has pi heads in fact??? please please helpa!?

The heads will be stamped with a PI on the side. Also the intake ports are alot bigger. Romeo and windsor really dont matter. The biggest difference is on has 6 bolt crank and the other has a 8 bolt crank.

The 96 mustang didn't come stock with pi heads but it is a common swap.

I got my heads for 200 with cams fully assembled.

should I buy it then? and is it a romeo or windsor and the head doesnt matter it will fit on either correct? will they work on my truck? and should I buy it, it is 2 hours away and it has a rod knock he wants $200 bucks I was gonna see if he would take 100 for it what do yall think it should still be a useable block right?

Yeah it's got Romeo pi heads. For 200 as long as no plugs have been launched it sounds like a good deal.
