help with tire size and tire choice.. opinions wanted.
I just picked up these 20" wheels the other day .. had to drive a bit to get them and in the middle of no where arkansas...note the mud on the truck. anyway.. I got them wheels and tires for 200.. tires are in not great shape at around 3/32 4/32.. and showing age with some cracking.. these are 275 65 20.. which is a 34.1" tall tire. My truck is a 4.6 and im guessing that means I have 3.31 8.8 rear.. While I have no noticeable seat of the pants power loss.. I notice my gas mileage is slightly worse. I would like to probably step down to a 33' tire and maybe not a 10 ply.. I don't haul trailers. or anything in the rear really other than a few parts for my 65 f100 and occasional home projects.. this baby just gets me to work and back.. What tire size do you guys recommend and what tire...I would like to get an all terrain.. I love the duratrecs.. but, weight may be an issue there..dunno. Thanks appreciate the help.. I've only had one other set of 20s and they were on a Dodge Ram with a 390 .. so power wasn't much an issue. . and I didn't care about gas mileage back then!
only picture I had... snapped it right after I got the wheels.

The Brand is NiChe model is Throttle.. they are an older wheel.. but in really good shape. they are a division of MHT wheels... they now have a new wheel by the same name http://www.mhtwheels.com/wheel.cfm?cat=762
im thinking 33's as well. just wonder if its worth it to stick with the E range 10ply or go to P- metric 8 ply 275 60 20 -- 33 is Im guessing about as big as I can go in the 8 ply.. but haven't noticed any of the popular go to tires except the nittos.. which im not a big fan of.
