How are you straight piping your cat's
So I have wanted to do this for awhile but how are guys cutting out the rear 2 cats to straight pipe them. Are you using clamps or welding it. If welding how are you doing it so you don't have leaks since there is not b much room weld.a good solid bead all the way around?

See that's what I'm afraid of it's going to b be harder than expected. I thought about just taking the y pipe out and doing it that way

I wish I had an answer about the welding part of the question, when I took my truck to have straights ran(after the cats) evidently he couldn't figure out that welding either. There's a quarter inch gap where he didn't or couldn't get it welded. I've since tried fixing it both myself, and my uncle who is a fairly skilled welder. Even tried patching it with no success, I'm probably going to end up cutting the section off and putting new pipe in with clamps and see how that works

When i cut all 4 of my cats off i welded it off the truck.. I know it probably wont work for anyone else as all my exhaust pipe is new from the manifolds back... I did make it alot easier tho....
