Default Intermittent Steering Wheel Vibration

I bought my truck a little over a year ago with 50k on the clock. I had a slight vibration in my steering wheel, so I had the wheels balanced. 8k miles later, it's back. I Plasti-dipped my wheels this summer, and didn't have an issue until recently. The wheel shakes between 45-55mph. No wheel weights have fallen off, and the tires haven't seen much wear seeing that they've only had probably 7k miles since the last balance. Is there anything else I should look into?

Get your alignment checked

On a side note, know of any good shops in the area?

Lifeline Tires, they're on State Street near Kodak. My buddies Tin and Mike own it. They're really the nicest guys around, and I try and bring them all of the business I can. If you ever stop in there, tell them Rich Thompson sent you.

I don't see how my alignment could cause a vibration. The truck drives straight, and the wheels are evenly worn.

Check to see if it is related to your brake rotors.

Question

If it's vibrating every few seconds it's not an alignment issue and is definitely a tire issue. It was a really annoying vibration that only happened for 2 seconds every few seconds on the highway. I got it aligned, balanced, nothing fixed it.

Ended up getting new rear tires and the vibration was gone. The guy who was balancing my tires said that one of them wasn't the roundest tire in the world.

I would recommend maybe using a spare tire and testing this theory by using it on each wheel well (assuming it's just the one tire causing the issue)
