Try programming it. It should work, but there's no down side to programming it if it doesn't work.

As long as its the 3 button remote, there's no reason it shouldn't work. Knowing that it was for a 250, i'm betting on that's what it is.

It should work fine. The fobs were missing when I bought my truck. I still had the fobs from my 07 Ranger I previously had (it had an aftermarket alarm) and they programmed to my truck no problem.

They will work. In fact, I have one (used on my Explorer) that works on both my Mustang and the Explorer. I don't know how I it programmed to store both inside, but when I lock one, the other locks also. And vice versa. The Mustang trunk unlocks and the Expl rear door glass releases. Very strange but very convienient. The fob I have for the Mustang, doesn't work on the Explorer though.

Has anyone else ever ran across this before?
