Protect coils
I know a lot of guys go mud and I like to as well but coil packs aren't cheap so I was wanting to know if anybody has found a way to protect them or any things I can do to protect the engine bay from the fun. Thanks

I go all the time. Ive never had a problem. My engine bay gets dirtier than hell too. Literally everything is covered.
Afterwards I go to the carwash and power wash the truck and the engine bay to get it all off and ive never had a problem. Ive done this multiple times. Other people will tell you not to power wash it because it can leak down into the plug holes and ruin coils. It wouldnt be on the top of my list of concerns though.

I wouldn't power wash my engine bay at gun point, after the problems i've seen people have who have done it. But, to each his own.

Maybe all the mud and dirt made the engine tough'n up and not let silly water do any damage lol

I would power wash the side of the block but I would try to used lower pressure for the top of the engine. When I do mine I put the widest tip on so it spreads out the pressure. Makes me uncomfortable to blast anything where I might tear up the gasket

My dad owns a body shop. A guy showed up wanting to detail cars for him so my dad let him wash my truck. The guy sprayed my engine down with a regular water hose and it ran so nicely after that we decided to to get new plugs and coils
Joking aside I've never looked very hard for anything to protect my engine from mud because I very rarely mud ride in it, but i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to extend the wheel well covers/splash guards.
I've seen a truck on here before where the guy had the engine bay sealed pretty good. Truck was completely covered and the engine was still spotless. I'd like to know how he did it.
